Uses
Ciprofloxacin (Ciprofloxacin) is a broad spectrum antibiotic that is used for treatment of infections in HIV positive individuals, and also as a preventative in case of exposure to the Anthrax bacteria.
Dosage and Administration
Ciprofloxacin (Ciprofloxacin) tablets are taken on an empty stomach 2 hours after meals, 250-750 mg every 12 hours. If there is stomach irritation, the pill can be taken with meals. Food slows and may slightly decrease absorption.
Side effects
Nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, and abdominal pain are the most frequent side effects of Ciprofloxacin (Ciprofloxacin). Bad taste in the mouth, restlessness, rash, sensitivity to sunlight and seizures are other possible side effects.
