Aprepitant is used in adults in combination with other medicines to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy or after a surgery.
How it works
Aprepitant is an antiemetic and belongs to a group of medicines called neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of neurokinin, a natural substance in the brain that causes nausea and vomiting.
